Bureaucratic mixup causes points to be assessed but we got them removed!
The client had a ticket which he paid online. Unbeknownst to him, he was assessed points. He went back to the district magistrate, who was kind enough to amend the citation to a non-point violation, but because he had already paid it online, PennDOT would not remove the points!
The client then went to speak to the District Justice, who referred him to the district attorney's office and the County Court Administrator. He was told he should file an expungement. He came to us to file the expungement, and I told him that was not the correct procedure! A
fter we filed a nunc pro tunc appeal (which is an appeal out of time) he was found not guilty of the orignial charge, and the notice should go to Penndot to redact those points.
